Slow Cooker Thursday First Time!

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

I thought I would join in Slow Cooker Thursday, I usually have at least one Crockpot meal a week, so it will be nice to get some new ideas and share some of mine!

Cream Cheese Crock Pot Chicken

7¼ hours 15 min prep
Change to: servings US Metric
4 boneless chicken breasts
1 package dried Italian salad dressing mix
1 can cream of chicken soup
8 ounces cream cheese, cut up in cubes
1 large onion, slivered
crushed garlic

Lay chicken in 4 quart or larger crockpot.
Sprinkle with Italian dressing mix.
Sprinkle onions on top.
Press fresh garlic on top of all.
Cook on low for 4-5 hours at med.
heat.
About 45 minutes before you're ready to eat, remove the chicken and set aside.
Add the cream cheese and soup to crockpot stirring occasionally until smooth.
While the cream cheese is melting, cut the chicken into bite sized pieces.
Once the cream cheese and soup are smooth, add cut up chicken back to the crockpot.

This was simple and REALLY good. Even my two yr old ate it and then asked for more! I put it over pasta, and served salad and garlic bread. YUM! OH and for more great recipes, head on over to Sandras at Diary of a SAHM!

I am going to have to try this -- I made a mexican chicken dish with cream cheese and surprisingly it was good ... this sounds great too!

Love your blog design BTW!

Looks like a definite winner. One for the hubby's potlucks, at work.

Oooh, PoshMomma, I have a recipe very similar to this, and it's sooooo good! Mine adds mushrooms instead of onion, and I add a lot of dried spices to the frozen chicken breasts. The cream cheese makes it so good and creamy :)

Have a wonderful day, and weekend!
