I have a really big urge to skip Menu Plan Monday this week, since Damon will leave tomorrow for 17 days for training and the usual Navy junk* (insert stronger word here). But a lot of stuff will carry over from last week, and there will be lots of simple kids stuff and sandwiches for me!
I gave the Easy Chicken and Potatoe Crockpot recipe a try last week. It was so good! And my husband found a recipe he wanted to try, Hawaiian Tacos, and so I threw that in the mix too!
Monday: We are celebrating V-day tonight so the boys are eating early and we will have dinner after they go to bed!
boys: hot dogs and fruit
Us: Baked Chicken Kiev, salad, Asiago Bread (homemade)
dessert: Chocolate Pillows with Cherry Sauce and Vanilla Ice Cream
Tuesday: Grilled Cheese Sandwiches and Tomato Soup
Thursday: Grilled Chicken and Vermont White Cheddar Sandwiches
Friday: Spaghetti, Salad, and garlic bread
Saturday: Chicken and Cheese Quesadillas
Sunday: Corndogs for the boys and english muffin mini-pizza for me!
Now the real question is how much I will stick to this! But since I am really trying to be more frugal, I am a little more motivated.
