Apparently I am uptight. No, really! The other day the boys and I embarked on a cookie cutting adventure. I had originally made homemade cookie dough, but let it sit in the fridge too long and it got hard. So the Pillsbury Dough Boy gave me a roll to use. I taped wax paper to the table stripped them to their undies (Spiderman and Thomas!) and rolled out a little dough for each of them. I had visions in my head of my boys and I cutting out the fun little Christmas shapes, PERFECTLY. The dough would stay on the paper, the boys would listen all while being busy little elves.
And in case you were wondering, this would be the FIRST time I let the boys help me make cookies. 2 and 3 yr olds don't cut cookies neatly. It didn't take very long to realize that Little Guy was not going to use the cookie cutters as God intended. Oh, I had to cover my eyes while he took the candy cane shaped one and it into the dough IN THE SAME PLACE 10 times!! It took everything I had to not grab everything up and do it myself.
But I pulled it together, we had a GREAT time once I calmed myself down. I let them cut them out however they liked, and they will be delicious! I have plans to let them DECORATE them next! Am I crazy??
On a side note, The Princess is growing in leaps and bounds! This week I started her on cereal, carrots, and sweet potatoes. She loves them! And is already trying to take the spoon from me to feed herself.
Isn't she just a DOLL??
OH! And we are so excited around the Posh house because the countdown has begun! In 17 days, Train Junkie will be 4 yrs old! In 22 days, it will be CHRISTMAS (and my In Laws will be here too) and then in 25 days HUBBY will be home for 2 WEEKS!! We can't wait!!

I have to admit that I get a little uptight when it comes to the cutting of the cookies myself! :) I, too, have had to just let it go 'cause I know my daughter LOVES to do it!!! I haven't attempted it with the youngest (he's not yet 2), but next year he'll get to help! And, YES, your little girl is ADORABLE!!!
Count me as uptight too then, because not only did I cut out the cookies myself, but I only let them decorate one cookie. In my defense though...I had Three boys that day, so...ya know...
